Failed to import form with error "LoadFromText 1045"
Updated 2009-09-24 | Filed under OnWeb | PDF
Problem
EQL OnWeb is saying that it failed to import with error "LoadFromText 1045."
Solution
This is caused by forms that use features incompatible with the current version of EQL OnWeb. The most common such feature is Microsoft Smart Tags, which were first introduced in Access 2003.
To use your database with OnWeb, you will need to disable these features. The error message you're seeing will tell you which form or forms are using the problematic features.
To remove smart tags from a form:
Open the form in the form designer.
Open the Properties window using View | Properties.
Select the All tab and scroll to the very bottom.
One by one, select the different text entry fields on your form. The problematic ones are often labeled Email Address or Email Name.
When you select each entry, look for a property called Smart Tags. If it is non-empty, blank it out.
Repeat until you have checked every field in the form.
Save and close the form.
Click the EQL Synchronize button to retry the import operation.
Future Versions Note
We are currently planning to support additional Access 2003 and 2007 features in a later version of OnWeb. However, we aren't yet able to promise a particular delivery date for these features.
